About Sadie
Hi there!
My sisters and I are all super cute little puppies who are looking for wonderful forever homes to call our own.
We were a bit of an "oops" litter which is why it's so important for everyone to sterilise their pets!
We are typical puppies who have very sweet natures and are curious and inquisitive, always exploring and looking for new things to play and interact with.
We are being fostered in a home with 2 adult dogs who we are getting along well with.
We are gentle girls who enjoy cuddles and kisses but like all puppies we have sharp claws and we sometimes get carried away and can nip people so if there are small children in your home it's important that they understand that we don't mean to hurt them and shouldn't be punished just for playing.
We are learning toilet training and we almost always sleep through the night (though when we are first separated from each other we might need some extra help with this).
It's really important that you understand how big the responsibility of a puppy is. We are like little balls of clay just waiting to be shaped and moulded into our best possible selves.
If you have very small children or work very long hours, for example, you may not really have time to give us all the time, patience, love and training that we need.
We would love to be adopted into homes with adult dogs but if your adult dog has an behaviours you don't like, we might learn those too!
It is absolutely essential and a non-negotiable part of our adoption, that you take us to training. Not just a standard puppy class but preferably a level one training after that.
The first 16 weeks of our lives are pretty crucial in our development and we need you to take care to expose us to lots of different people and experiences, without over-whelming us.
Our foster family or the people at the rescue will be happy to talk to you more about bringing up a happy, well-adjusted puppy.
This is also a really good book you could buy to help you get us off to a good start: https://www.dogwise.com/perfect-puppy-in-7-days/
We can't wait to meet our new families, so get in touch today!
*Please note SAFE Avon Valley does NOT rehome 2 puppies from the same litter to the same home due to the potential for behavioural problems down the track. Please don't enquire about adopting 2 pups together as we will say no. Thank you!*
