About Spike
Meet Spike, He came into care at just 4 weeks old with his 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
Spike is the most laid back when playing is a group or playing with the bigger dogs. Sometimes you can see him just looking at taking everything in.
Spike loves playing with toys and his siblings.
His carers believe Spike would suit a home with another dog to keep him company and also for him to learn off.
Because of his mix we believe he will be a medium to large dog and have lots of energy so will need a active family to keep up with.
We are looking for a family or person who is willing to put in the time and effort with training and socialisation for Spike. Someone who understands the needs of both a Mastiff and working dogs would be ideal. He will need continued socialisation with other dogs during the puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that he grows up to be a well mannered and socialised boy. We believe that Spike will be a medium to large dog when fully grown. He is a beautiful natured puppy, and given the right environment we are sure that he will grow up to be an extremely loyal, well mannered family member.
We would love to help get you started with training, so our amazing supporters, Best Friends - Erina, have kindly offered to include a 5 week Puppy training course with all of our Puppy adoptions (up to 16wks of age)....The Best Friends Puppy Pre-School service is a fun and interactive five-week training course that covers puppy behaviours, diet, health, grooming, exercise and play, with an emphasis on socialisation, command training, health and care. Their aim is to teach you positive ways to train your puppy in basic skills such as ‘sit’, ‘drop’, ‘stay’, and how to walk well on a lead, but also how to control your puppy’s not so desirable behaviours like toileting inside, biting, mouthing and separation anxiety.

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
