About Hamish 💚
Hamish is affectionate, cuddly and loves to participate in family activities. He is playful, alert, and very active, enjoying any exercise from a brisk walk to swimming or chasing his host dog.
This handsome boy is currently being fostered in a home with 1 host dog, 2 host cats, and of course, his humans (which includes young children and a toddler).
Hamish was surrendered into Rescue because his previous family could not give him the attention he so craves. He is currently an outside dog and has no issue with it - in fact, it would be recommended to keep this up, at least until he's a little older and finds his place in the pack. He shows quite a few dominant traits, so would be better suited to a home which already has a dominant dog or dogs so that Hamish can slot in under their guidance and not develop bad habits.
He will thrive with reinforcement of his training and the presence of a dog or two to keep him in line. If he is left on his own, he might well become quite a handful, so we are really looking for a home which has some prior experience with the Cocker Spaniel breed and other dogs to keep him company.
Hamish is located in Umina on the Central Coast, NSW. All his vet work is done which means that he is now ready to start the interview process!

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous boy. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
