New Year Resolutions

1 - Find devishly handsome Akita (see photos)
2 - Fall in love
2.1 - Apply for Lokie
2.2 - IF application is successful have ARV complete yard check
2.3 - Have meet & greet (fall in love even harder)
2.4 - Cancel holiday/wedding/major surgery so have plenty of time at home to settle giant fluff ball in
3 - Foster/Adopt him
4 - Realise/acknowledge that this dog is actually a cat reincarnate
5 - Laugh because every one of your previous Akitas have been exactly the same and you wouldn't have it any other way
6 - Enrol in training as you prefer not to get your shoulder dislocated every day when you go out for a walk
7 - Become envy of neighbourhood as you strut around with the canine version of Dwayne Johnson

Lokie is just about as typical as you can get for an Akita. Aloof to strangers if you have nothing to offer him or expect him to actually do any work for it. Not fond of other dogs getting all up in his business, but happy to leave them alone if they don't bother him. Loyal and devoted to his family. Stubborn. Stubborn. Stubborn. As playful as it's possible for these guys.
He's a big boy, young at 1.5 years, with not a lot of manners, so will need an adult only home and to be the only dog. Obedience classes will be a condition of his adoption, as will daily walks and twice daily smooches and snuggles.
