About Tess
A sweet, gentle girl who adores company!
- Tess is a friendly, sweet and gentle girl who wants a family that will love her and give her the attention she deserves.
- Tess hasn't had a great start to life where as a puppy she was left alone for long periods of time and now worries about being left alone.
- She is great with children so would be suited to a family with children of any age.
- Tess doesn't like to be left alone for long so would be best suited to a family where people are home most of the time or can take Tess with them.
- She gets along with other dogs and would be happy living with another dog. She has shown a tendency to chase cats so is not suited to a home with a resident cat.
- Tess is a young dog and still has some puppy behaviours. In her foster home, Tess attends training classes and ideally this would continue in her new home.
- She is a smart and active dog who needs daily activity but is also calm and relaxed when laying around the house as long as she has companionship.
- She travels well in the car and enjoys outings for a good sniff in new places.
- Being a crossbred dog, Tess is showing both sides of her heritage. She is a quick learner and does like to please her people. After all, she is part kelpie and everyone knows how smart kelpies can be. She is also showing her Maremma side with her independence and is particularly needing a family who will continue her training so she forms a good bond and really feels included in their daily activities.
- In her new home, Tess must be allowed to be close to her people and be able to come inside the house.
- She would be suited to a suburban environment or a rural property as long as she has secure garden fencing. She is not a working dog and not suited for guarding or herding animals.
- Tess will make an excellent companion and family dog.
- Tess's adoption fee is $460
The adoption fee assists to cover the costs of desexing, microchip, microchip ownership transfer, flea and worm treatment, vaccinations and vet check.
Successful applicants will be contacted for an interview and a property inspection (as it is vital we rehome our animals to a safe, secure and suitable home).
