About Bea
Bea Aka Mumma Bea
Bea is super sweet. She's a very happy girl and sometimes just acts like a big shaggy puppy even though her real age is anywhere between 2 - 4 years old. Bea came into care heavily pregnant and gave birth to 8 glorious puppies and proved to be a model Mum. All pups are grown now and looking for their own forever homes. Bea has been desexed.
Bea is quite smart and a quick learner picking up tricks and training very well. She has her Sit, Stay and Come down pat and has moved on Look, Lay, Lay Down and Roll Over. Her leash manners still need some work as she gets a little excitable when she sees another dog when out and about, but being as smart as she is it won't take her long to master that too.
Being a Wolfhound/Bull Terrier mix she's a rather large dog but with a low to medium energy level. She enjoys a crazy lap around the yard with other dogs and loves splashing in the pond but then prefer to relax on an elevated platform to view her "domain" from so is often found at the top of the stairs or the bench seat to give her a visual vantage point.
Bea takes things as it comes. She loves going on adventures and being with people but will happily spend all day at your feet if you are pottering around the house or work from home. Want her to sleep inside she'll love that but is just as content to be in the yard too. She's affectionate but is happy to chill out alone too. Whatever you want Bea is fine with.
Bea is currently living with a variety of other dogs from 3kgs to 40kgs and gets along great all of them, although she can be a little "rude" when meeting new dogs for the first time. Bea has been exposed to cats but takes an interest in them if they run so she would be best suited to a family with a dog savvy cat or separation. She is not suited to pocket pets.
If you are looking for a laid back gal who is happy to go with the flow and you can provide food, affection and a squeaky toy or two than Bea is here waiting for you to call.
Medical notes
Bea is Mostly Deaf
Adoption details
Hear No Evil's Adoption process:
1st Step * You contact us to obtain an adoption application, and discuss the dog of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability.
2nd Step * A Meet and Greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and and current dogs is arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a Yard check to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - We understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
3rd Step *Payment of the Adoption fee in full. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records.
Transport arrangements are the financial responsibility of the Adopting party. Hear No Evil are happy to assist with departure preparations and ensuring the dog makes its transport connection.
Final step * Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted, and the adoption is officially finalised.
