About Lucy
Lucy is the biggest of her litter, and likes to make sure that her siblings stay in line. You'd say she is the leader of her litter mate pack. But in saying that, she loves to equally make sure that they each get a cuddle and kiss from her.
This girl goes LOOPY for a belly rub and we would say this is an essential requirement to be continued in her new home. She would love a home with another dog; for company and play. But we think in the right home, she could be a very loyal only dog.
Sally and her litter mates were born in care and have been hand raised alongside the care of their beautiful black kelpie mum Elvie. They have been exposed to many objects and environments in their young life, and have been given a high quality diet and stimulating life in preparation for their new home.
Her new home will need to be prepared for a moderately energetic pup, so daily exercise is a must with continued socialisation and training as she grows and develops. Puppy school would be a great recommendation for her, but of course not an essential part of the adoption process.
Fencing that's safe and secure is essential, 6ft and over would be our best recommendation but she may suit rural fencing also for the right home
Being so young, a home with other animals, cat and young kids will be easy to adjust to; but of course the correct introductions and time for space and getting to know is recommended.
Lucy is located in Mayfield in the Newcastle area of NSW, her adoption fee is $500 and is ready to go to her new home in January 2019.
Adoption details
In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
