About Chester
Chester is a delightful Labrador!
He is extremely fun loving and a bit of a goof ball. He is devoted to his person and will want to be wherever they are.
Unfortunately, due to no fault of his own, Chester had to change foster homes 3 times within a very short period of time so he feels a bit insecure and will probably become a little anxious with another move. With the right understanding, discipline, and communication, he will most likely be able to overcome this anxiety within a couple of weeks as he has done in his current foster home.
Chester loves being around other dogs and it would be ideal if he could have a desexed, similar sized playmate in his new home, as he has boundless energy to use.
Chester came to us from a home as an only dog and wasn't coping being alone while his family were busy. He has loves being around his new canine friends and has really thrived with the constant companionship he now has.
Being a very intelligent boy, he became extremely anxious and lonely and would bark out of boredom. We have discovered that with the company of another outgoing doggy pal, Chester will stay quiet when left outside for long periods of time. A home with another dog will be the best decision for Chester to be happy.
Daily walks are a must for him, as this calms his mind and helps him to feel more relaxed for the rest of the day. He does not yet have good leash manners as this is all a new experience to him. Chester is currently living in a house with cats and other small animals. When he first came; he chased the cats, but being a fast learner he understood not to in about a week, however he will still chase the other small animals (rabbits, guinea pigs and chooks) and he may chase timid or young cats. For this reason a home with another dog but no other pets will be the best match for this inquisitive boy.
He is crate trained and toilet trained, but be aware that the trauma of moving to a new home may cause him to start having accidents inside, so his humans will have to bear with him while he learns his house rules.
Chester loves being indoors amongst the action and really seems to enjoy his new found lifestyle of being a part of a family who are happy to involve him in social outings and family activities. He enjoys his trips in the car and new environments are really exciting for him, although he is still learning how to react appropriately when he is excited, we have seen very positive changes already. He just gets very excited!
Chester is currently living with a large family and has enjoyed the hustle and bustle of lots of things going on and has responded well to all of the children of different ages.
This adorable boy will need a hoe where he will have room to run around and play with his family and his doggy partner.
Please contact us if you have the perfect home waiting for Chester.

Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
