About Blayze
Blayze is fiercely loyal and possesses all the typical Australian Cattle Dog traits. She was a rescue release from a rural interstate pound with no known history prior, she has been assessed to be between 12 and 18 months old.
She is a high drive dog and is ball mad for tennis balls and soccer balls, she could be used for fly ball and dog sports with further training.
Blayze is accustomed to being indoors, outdoors, can be tethered for periods of time, is crate trained and travels very well in the car and will travel on the back of a ute as well, all with or without another dog. She would be best suited to an acreage property and a very active home with an emphasis on daily exercise, she has been living on a horse property whilst in foster care.
Blayze is well socialised with other animals including but not limited to dogs, cats and horses and has been trained not chase or herd them, and children of various ages. She is not suited to be around free range poultry but is fine if they are contained.
She can be very playful and has a confident deamour with other dogs so if residing in a multi-dog household she would need to be placed with a similar active breed.
In terms of family homes, she is in foster care with a dog respectful toddler however would be best suited to living with dog respectful children over 5 years of age.
Ideally you would have breed experience and understand that Australian Cattle Dogs need a firm but kind leader, and ample mental and environmental stimulation to keep their brain busy when you are not home.
Blayze has been used and assessed to work sheep and cattle and possesses natural instinct but she needs to mentally and physically mature more before progressing further if inclined to do so, she is not suited to a full time working home. On the other hand, she will also leave pet sheep and cattle alone if commanded to and has been around orphan lambs.
