About Co Co
Co Co has been surrendered to us by his owner as he had an issue with barking, but after we were contacted and I asked for a photo I was shocked at his neglected state, and said that we would take him immediately, his coat was so matted he had to be shaved off completely leaving him bald in some spots as the matting was so close to the skin it was unavoidable.. There is no doubt that co Co would have been extremely uncomfortable! I brought Co co back to my house and he presented as extremely shy, running away from me, very unsure scared of touch and noise, for 6 days he would not come out of the big shed we have out the back, I thought he might be better off elsewhere but after two days somewhere else he was back with me, during that time with me he had nt barked at all. On his return to me he was a lot more comfortable and started to be more friendly. he decided inside was nt so bad and decided being curled up on the lounge was pretty neat too. I don t normally have big dogs at my house but I have nt had the heart to move him again as he s been a good boy … He does bark a bit and has a really big bark but he does nt bark overnight and I m currently testing out a bark collar which is doing its job well. Co Co s good point s far outweigh his barking issue as he is a really sweet dog and very affectionate he gets on with all my other animals. dogs, cats, kittens and puppies, he is fine with stranger s but you must make friends on entry so he can recognize you as a friend as he goes in to protection mode, but he s not aggressive in any way. He love s to go for a walk and I can walk him quite well myself as he s not hard to walk at all, and being exercised regularly will be a part of his rehabilitation.. In my opinion Co co s barking stem s from neglect and a lack of exercise and stimulation and being left alone for to many hours, he needs to be with someone who will take regular walks and have him inside with them, a semi rural area would be ideal .. I think if that if you are a person that like s the standard poodle breed Co Co is definitely worth meeting.
