Adoption information
I've been adopted!
About Diesel
Look at me – have you ever seen such a beautiful big boy - my foster family says I am a "gentle giant", I may be big, but my foster mum says the only real big thing about me is my heart. I love everyone, the little kids who constantly kiss my face and my foster siblings, even the 2kg chihuahua who is constantly barking at me.
I know I'm not allowed to sleep on the bed, although I do sometimes sneak a quick nap on my foster teenage brothers bed when he is playing fortnite, but at night I am so happy on the floor next to my humans bed and I am completely toilet trained so I don't move off that bed all night. ** Please note due to Diesel's anxiety his new family would need to allow him to sleep inside of a night
I don't like spending too long on my own, my foster mum says its called separation anxiety and I also have storm phobia. I need a patient loving family who is happy for me to live inside as I don't like it outside unless your there too and then I love it. My family will need to be home if there is a storm or fireworks as I get really scared, the vet had given me some medicine to help but if I haven't had that I can get really scared and hide in my foster mums walk in robe.
I will repay your patience with so much love you will wonder how life existed before me.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 2 week trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby.
