About Piglet *Adoption Pending*
Piglet is the best puppy, she’s a little bundle of joy, full of energy that will brighten up your day. Piglet came into care at only a few days old due to having a cleft lip. She thrived in care, grew big and strong and is now ready for a forever home of her own! Piglet has a typical happy-go-lucky Staffy personality. She is always happiest in your company and loves a good snuggle. She also loves running around and playing with toys. Due to growing up in care, Piggy is very well socialized and would love a friend in her new home. She can be a little bossy so would do best with a medium/large male. Piggy has met cats before with no issues. She loves playing with other dogs and cats (not all cats like her 😂) She is fine with children of all ages.
She’s also very well crate trained and can occupy herself when needed but would be best suited to a home that can show her lots of love and have time to train and play with her daily. She’s absolutely gorgeous and would be a great addition to your home.
Piglet is located in Bray Park, QLD.
Cat Friendly: Yes
Dog Friendly: yes - a male doggy friend of a medium/large size
Child Friendly: Yes
House trained: working on it
Separation Anxiety: No
Indoor/outdoor dog? Both
Medical notes
Piglet is desexed, vaccinated & microchipped.
Piglet's lip requires no surgery as it doesn't extend to her palate and is simply asthetic flaw. She copes very well with it and can eat and drink with no problems. The only thing to be aware of is it may require cleaning with a wet cloth as if given soft foods they can become stuck to her lip. Piglet handles this very well and is used to it. Future owners may consider surgery to try and close the lip but it is not medically required and she is adorable as is!
Adoption details
ADOPTION:
To meet, adopt or find out more details on this animal, please fill in our adoption application at our website- http://www.safehavenanimalrescueinc.com
Completing this application form does not place you under any obligation to adopt.
Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc have a 10 day trial/settling period, if for any reason the pet needs to be returned, we will happily take them back into our care once a foster home is found and the adoption fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be returned via bank transfer within 5 working days. If the pet is returned after the trial period there will be no refund made.
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
2. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
3. The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 2 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
4. 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from foster carer.
5. Adoption is finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
