About Otis ~ GSP X Cattle Dog (on trial 23/12/18)
Hi my name is Otis and I’m a 8 week old German Shorthaired Pointer X Cattle dog. My foster mum says I’m the most handsome littlest guy she has ever seen, but I’ll let you be the judge of that. I’m very sweet and my favourite thing is to follow you around and play in the yard with my sister.
I currently sleep in a crate, in my foster mum’s room and I cry when I need to be taken to the toilet. I’m in the middle of being toilet trained and I’m trying hard not to go to the toilet inside. I will need consistent training and it would be best if I’m taken to puppy school to give me the best start in life.
My foster mum thinks I’ll be a medium sized dog and she says that I would make the perfect family pup. I’m a fast learner, and my foster mum says I’m a young pup with an old soul. I get a little nervous when I see things or hear things for the first time, but I’m getting braver and braver every day.
It would be nice if I went to a home where there was someone at home during the day or who doesn’t work full time. I will need good fencing with no small gaps and I can’t go to rural fencing (e.g. mesh or wire). I would also love to be let inside when my family is home and I can’t wait to become part of your family!
My sister, Pippa, is also available for adoption.
As I’m not yet desexed, I’m only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central
Coast and Port Stephens because I’ll need to be returned to one of Dog Rescue’s vets for desexing when I’m 5 months old.
For more information or to meet me, please contact my foster mum, Sam on samantha.cassel@hotmail.com I’m in foster care in Maryland, NSW.
Otis’ adoption fee is $550 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
