About Esmerelda
***On Adoption Trial***
*In foster care in Dulwich Hill, Sydney*
So very pretty, purry and pattable - just look at that belly! - Esmerelda (also known as Esme) is an amazing Maggie's mum who can't wait to enjoy the next stage of her life!
With her five precious babies raised and adopted, Esme is also on the lookout for an amazing forever home to call her own - full of love, gentle affection, and an appreciation for her smart, independent nature. Her favourite way to spend the day is cuddling with her foster carer and rolling around with toys!
Like all Maggie's pets, Esme is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be relatively quiet and easygoing, with plenty of nice warm places for me to sleep and laze around :)
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm very low-maintenance and calm, in general! I crave cuddles, pats, and company, but I'm also content to chill out on my own when my human is at work. I do love to play when the opportunity presents itself - chasing or wrestling with toys if they're left lying around.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I adore people and attention, but am only suited to children over 10 years old who know how to pat me without overstimulating.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Although I was a wonderful mum to my kittens, I am afraid of other cats and dogs. (Tails are *not* toys!) I would definitely be happiest as your one-and-only pet, but could also live in harmony with elderly cats who sleep a lot and don't get in my face.
Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry-cats. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
