Hi there, I'm big Herb and I'm hoping you'll be my new family.

When I arrived at the shelter as a lost boy I was very skinny and a bit sad. However, now I've put on some weight and am feeling much better my beautiful happy personality is shining through.

I would love a family who'll treat me like a true family member and allow me to be inside with them as I just LOVE people and having a snuggle makes me so happy. Because I love people so much I tend to jump up on them so I may not be suitable to a home with young children as I don't want to accidently scare them or knock them over. I'm hoping with your help I can learn not to jump up to show my love for you. I can already sit and shake on command so I'm sure I'll be able to learn whatever it is you want to teach me to ensure I'm a well behaved boy.

I would love to explore my new neighbourhood by going for a big daily walk but I can pull a bit on the lead so walking me with a harness or halti should help me slow down and enjoy my walks.

Car rides and trips to the beach or park with my family would make me the happiest dog in the whole world.

I can be a bit protective of my food, not aggressive though. This may be because I was so underweight when I arrived here and may improve as I realise that I will always be given the correct amount of food. Feeding me a high quality puppy food until I reach my ideal weight is recommended.

Do you already have a doggy friend at home for me? I hope so because I love happy friendly dogs. If you do, please bring them in to meet me so we can all make sure we'll become best buddies.
