I've been adopted!
About Sophie
Hello hello, I'm Sophie - a big, laid-back girl who's stolen the hearts of my foster parents with my gentle ways and gorgeously goofy personality!
My favourite pastime is lazing around the house looking pretty (although 'walkies' is another awesome part of the day)! I am definitely happiest when I am cuddled up to my special humans, soaking up all their attention.
My foster fam has been teaching me some cool commands, which has been lots of fun - all the pats and kisses when I get the answer right is the best bit, obviously! Hopefully my new family will be keen to continue with my training.
Just FYI, I'm currently competing for the title of World's Longest Tongue and I think I'm in with a shot! I hope you like licks 'cos it's kind of my trademark move.
**We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry-dogs. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile.**
MY IDEAL HOME: ... would be laid-back and relaxed, with lots of soft, comfy places for me to snooze on. (I love beds and lounges!) No worries if you're out working all day - as long as you fulfill my daily cuddle quota when you get home :)
I adore humans or all shapes and sizes, so will be well suited to a super single person, cute couple or fabulous family!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I think I might be part sloth! I am well trained in marathon snuggles and there's not much more I need in life, although the odd walk is good for me, I'm told.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I am very gentle and considerate with the kids I meet in the park, and I don't jump on anyone. Be warned, though - if you're down for cuddles, I'm always in!
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I don't have any real experience with cats, but I'm not much fazed when I spot one out and about so maybe there's potential to make friends (or at least live together in harmony)?
Other dogs can make me nervous, but my confidence is improving in leaps and bounds and sometimes I even go up to them in the park for a sniff!

Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry-dogs. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
