About Baxter (on adoption trial)
Baxter has a Super Contagious Smile!
Baxter is a 10mth old med mixed breed dog. He is an absolute sweetheart with his huge one of a kind smile and gentle loving nature. Baxter has an adorably curious and playful nature, who loves his play time, walks and most of all his tummy rubs. He can be a little timid at first with unfamiliar things and people, but with a little reassurance, he will happily come to greet you with his wiggle butt and smother you with lots of cuddles and kisses. Overall, he is a lovable boy with a gentle nature that you are bound to fall in love with.
Baxter hasn’t had the best start in life, but is coming leaps and bounds with his foster family, quickly learning new skills such as how to walk well on leash, how to play appropriately and share his new toys. It’s important that his new family are prepared to continue showering him with love and making him a valued part of the family whilst investing time in to his training and socialisation through regular playtime with other nice doggie friends, ongoing training sessions and regular exercise to ensure he reaches his full potential. He is a smart boy who learns quickly and responds really well to positive reinforcement and will look to you for structure, guidance and direction.
He would be suited to a home with another friendly dog for company and/or where someone is home most of the time to give him the attention he deserves. Baxter should be allowed inside to be with the family and will require a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. As he is young, it is expected that he will be able to be integrated with other types of pets in the household with appropriate introductions and training. The family lucky enough to take this gorgeous boy home is going to enjoy all of his fun-loving antics and cuddles.
