Mowgli ~ Staffy x Mastiff (on trial 24/12/18)

Mowgli is a hunk a hunk of puppy love! This chunky monkey is in the heavyweight division and has the blockhead to prove it. Mowgli’s mum is a beautiful brindle English Staffy and his dad was a Mastiff. So big dog lovers only need read on.

Mowgli has been raised in care since 1 day old, so has been regularly wormed and had the best care. He is a happy, healthy pup and ready to bring some Staffy style love to his new family. Please note that he will absolutely not be considered for adoption as a Christmas present. His adoption must be a well thought out, lifetime commitment.

Being such a young pup, Mowgli will only be homed where someone is home more than not. He will need 4 feeds a day and regular supervision until he reaches 4 months old. He will need a fully secured yard with lots of room to run and play and another dog for company would make him very happy. That being said, if he was allowed to be in the house as part of the family he could happily be an only dog.

Mowgli is going to be a big, strong dog. We cannot reiterate how vitally important it is to commence training and socialisation as soon as possible for any pup. Socialisation is not just with people and other dogs but to as many sites, sounds, different walking surfaces, smells and life experiences as possible. The dog you end up with as an adult is entirely a reflection of the effort made as a puppy in training and positive reinforcement as they grow.

Applicants who are familiar with the staffy breed, their quirks and needs will be viewed favourably. This will especially be the case for a home with children, who will need to be over 10 and confident to deal with puppy teeth and jumping in the early months and also know respectful boundaries with a young pup. Your reward will be THE most loyal and loving companion. He adores people and lots of human contact and belly scratches send him to the next dimension.

As Mowgli is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
