Sox

Meet our lovable, sweet Sox. He's a large greyhound x who has clearly had a bit of a hard life, with the knocks and nicks to show for it, as well as being very skinny. Despite this, he's such a loyal, good natured boy who steals the heart of everyone who meets him, and will be the most amazing addition to his lucky new home. He is friendly with both people and dogs (large and small, he adapts play style to suit size!) He has started gaining weight now he's in care.

Sox knows his name, sits nicely on command and takes treats gently from your hand. Even though Sox is a big boy he's not a bouncy dog but is nice and placid, so shouldn't be too full on for children. Has fairly good recall in low distraction environments, is great on lead however is still working on his house training and is beginning to learn the prompts which remind him to pee outside. Sox doesn't know what toys are for, but loves sniffing out treats from the toy box. Sox does get quite animated if he sees kangaroos! He loves to lean in and be close to people and is just the loveliest dog.

Sox is an athletic type with springy legs, so will require secure, very high fencing to prevent him jumping out of your property. He loves human company and so would prefer a home where he's not left alone all day. Home workers, part time workers or stay home parents would be ideal. He's been non destructive in his foster home. Would enjoy a daily walk.

Sox is not pure greyhound, so does not need to wear a muzzle or be tagged.
