Calypso is a sweet natured creature, she is small in stature, weighing a healthy 18kgs, she stands at just under my knee. She has a medium coat, shiny, black and beautiful to run your hands through, she really enjoys her daily massages. She is soft and gentle with me but does have a tendency to get overexcited and jumpy when she meets new people; however settles quite quickly.

She has grown up with young children through to teenagers. Calypso hadn’t met a cat before coming to us. She is quite relaxed and happy with ours however she would need supervision until she could be completely trusted. This young lady now knows and understands a lot of commands Up, Down, In, Out, Sit, Leave, Back, Come, Listen, Ahh Ahh, No, Jewellery On. She is a reluctant sitter unless you have treats in your hand, she’s highly food motivated.

She came to me badly infested with fleas, parts of her body were missing fur, particularly her rear and back; I completely understand why she sits reluctantly. Calypso is toilet trained and asks to be let out. This girl loves to play, she plays quite happily by herself with a soccer ball. She throws it for herself and her acrobatics are amazing. She can be quite entertaining. She really enjoys a great game of fetch; she mostly returns with the ball.

Calypso would really benefit from structured obedience training. I’m sure she would be awesome at agility or fly ball and she would love it. Looking for a home that needs her love.
