About Julz
Hey there! I'm Julz and I'm a very 'catty' cat. I know that seems silly - surely all cats are catty! But I'm sort of a very average cat in many ways. I really like pats and attention and occasional cuddles. I'll keep you company and hang out. But I'm not SUPER CRAZY OVER THE TOP affectionate and smoochy and demanding. Like, you can go to work and I'll be cool with that.
I like making friends with people, but also I'm not going to instantly be someone's friend just because they come into our house. What do you think I am, a dog?
I'm neat and tidy and I know how to use a litter tray with precision. I like food, but I'm not fussy or picky.
When it comes to other animals, I can go either way. If you introduce us slowly and sensibly (again, I'm not a dog - I'm not just gonna run up, sniff some other cat's butt and be best friends!) Anyway, if you introduce us sensibly, I reckon I could be okay.
My life so far has been pretty okay, but the last bit was kinda crappy. I lived with my owner all my life, with another cat too. We were a pretty happy family but then he got a job working away up north. First we thought it would be cool because with all his extra income he could buy us more treats and food. But then we realised we weren't included in his plans.
He gave us away to a lady on a farm; she meant well, but there were already a bunch of other cats living there, and 3 dogs. Plus we had lived inside before but at the farm we had to live outside. It was really scary and one of the dogs chased me all the time. In the end I ran away for a bit. I was SO hungry and scared by myself.
Then the lady had to move out of the farm. Some of the cats who were still hanging around the house were hard to pick up, so the lady from SAFE set traps to try and catch them. There was fresh hot chicken in the traps and it smelled SO good that I couldn't help myself. And that's how I ended up staying with her while I wait to find my new home!
You'll notice that my ears are a bit crispy at the moment. White cats like me aren't meant to spend too much time outside because we get sunburnt like this, and then later on we can get skin cancer as a result. So it's really important that you keep me indoors and keep an eye on my skin so if it every looks different you can take me for a check up.
Okay so I've told you a lot about my past now but to be honest, all I really want to talk about is my future! I really hope it is with you :)
