About Himalaya
Hiya! My name is Himalaya and I'm such a sweet and pretty little lady.
I will be a ray of sunshine in my perfect new home with my adorable, playful and cheeky nature. I'll let you know straight-up that I need a particular sort of a home and I hope you can provide it for me.
When I came into foster care I had never really lived around people before and I didn't respond very well to it to start with! I was just constantly trying to get away from my foster mumma and I nearly hurt myself by throwing myself around so much! She nicknamed me Crazycakes to start with!
I've only been living with her for 6 weeks now and now I like to smooch her and be patted and stroked so you can see how quickly I can settle down - though it's still only on my terms.
I'm going to probably be pretty terrified in my new home to begin with, so I'll need someone who is super patient. You'll have to be prepared to set me up in my own small area to start with and understand that you might not see me or get to touch me for a little while. I LOVE roast chicken so we can bond over that if you want!
I also love to play with toys on strings and that's a great way for us to start interacting with each other without having to have contact.
Now, this might sound a bit daunting but it will be worth it. I'm affectionate, playful and VERY chatty. Once I get to know you, I will become the most loyal companion you've ever had.
It's really important that you know that I have to be 100% indoor only for the rest of my life (unless you have a totally secure escape-proof cat run, that would be cool!)
Partly because of my pale colouring and the high risk of me developing skin cancer later in life if I'm in the sun too much. But also because I'm so easily startled, I might get spooked and run away.
I need a home with no small children as I just don't think I could ever really get used to their fast movements and loud noises.
I could definitely live with other pets though, assuming you introduce us sensibly!
I'm not the easiest kitty in the world but I'm worth the effort, I promise! Please take me home today.
