On Hold
Young Ziva came to us, she had obviously just had pups as she was full of milk. The farmer said that he did not know where the pups were hidden and for the first few days she just cried. He said he had to get rid of her as she was chasing his cattle. We looked and looked and asked everyone we knew in the area about her pups but we could not find them anywhere. One of my volunteers called her Ziva and it stuck. She is a beautiful girl who has now been chipped, vaccinated, heart worm tested and desexed. Ready for her new home. She is a very gentle girl who would be great for an active family. She is intelligent so would respond well to training. A lovely young girl who just wants to please.
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
