On Hold
About Harry
I HAVE A MEETING WITH A FAMILY SO I AM ON HOLD FOR NOW. Harry here and boy did I strike the Lottery when CRQ rescued me, when I came in I was not a well little boy, but the wonderful vets and my foster carers love have fixed me all up!
I am looking for my retirement home, let me tell you what I am looking for, I want a home as an only dog, I really do not interact with other dogs at all and when I do it’s to get them away from the people I love. I would love to be a retired persons best friend or someone who works from home would be great also.
I love to go out in a sling bag so I can go with you to markets, shopping everything. I can be a bit timid but once I know you and know you love me, I promise to be your best friend. I could not cope with children, I want a quiet home where I can be loved for the rest of my days. I promise to shower you in love and kisses. I absolutely love cuddles!
Please read my medical notes and then you will find below that an expression of interest to fill out, please fill that out and maybe if CRQ think you are a match for me, you can come and meet me.
Medical notes
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs have been fully health checked by our vets. We offer a free post-adoption health check with Greencross Vets at Chermside, Jindalee, Browns Plains or Indooroopilly hospitals. This gives you the opportunity to talk directly to the vet about any questions you may have. We provide all veterinary records for each dog, including copies of blood tests, any relevant X-rays and medical notes.
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs are desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. We test all our dogs for heartworm and treat them with regular parasite prevention.
When Harry came into care his skin wasn’t in good condition, most likely caused by flea allergy dermatitis. His skin has greatly improved since taking Apoquel 3.6mg tablets - he only needs a half tablet per day which costs approx. $7.50 per week, and because he is prone to allergies we recommend he stay on a hypoallergenic diet as well. He currently eats Royal Canin Hypoallergenic, which he loves. Harry also has 3 more monthly Vitamin B12 injections to go, these cost $60 for each injection. Harry has low grade Luxating Patellas that did not require surgery.
