About Kevin
Kevin is a fun and affectionate pup who has lost one of his rear legs due to a car accident.
He was rescued in a remote indigenous community in the NT. Camp dogs are well known for enjoying chasing cars, even after they have been injured. So Kevin needs a forever home where he can learn to walk on a lead and learn the social graces of city/suburbia. We have not yet had a Camp dog chase cares away from the community.
The vets say Kevin should not have any ongoing issues from losing his leg and is having just as much fun with 3 legs.
He is approx. 5-6mths old and will be a short stocky dog rather than a very small dog. We have no idea of the breed, as is the case with all the dogs we rehome.
We do not know how he will be with other animals or small children.
Kevin has been in foster care for several months with dogs of all shapes and sizes.
(With the right supervision, our pups have often gone to homes with children of all ages and even to homes with cats. We cannot advise how the dog would be with other animals e.g. chickens if not kept in an enclosure)
Kevin will fly from Alice Springs to Melbourne and be in foster care in Mirboo, Nth Gippsland.
He is desexed, parasite treated, chipped and will be lifetime council registered.
