About Bob ~ Great Dane x Mastiff (on trial 3/3/19)
My name is Bob AKA the gentle giant with and even bigger heart! I am a 4 year old Great Dane x Mastiff. I’m a big softy and I’m not scared to show it, I have so much love to give. I couldn’t stay with my mummy or other doggy family because of a change in circumstances my mummy was very sad when she had to say goodbye.
I’m an outside boy but love to be inside and join my foster family when they are home. I am crate trained but since being with my foster family they haven’t needed to use one I enjoy spending time relaxing in the garden and exploring the toys they have bought for me and I sleep in their garage at night and when the weather is bad I have a lovely comfy bed! I don’t make a mess and wait until morning to go to the toilet.
My foster parents do go out to work and that’s ok. It’s never for very long before one of them gets home, I have plenty of time to get treats from my Kong and sleep, I do cry sometimes but settle quickly - the neighbours are all very friendly and say how lovely I am. I love company and had been living with 2 other dogs before I came to my foster parents house. They would love to keep me but they know that having another furry friend to play with and keep me company at my forever home is what I need.
I wasn’t used to a lead as I lived on acreage but I’m pretty good with one now and love to go for a morning and afternoon walk every day I love heading out in the car on an adventure especially to the beach even if the water was a little scary but I’m quite the swimmer now when the water is calm.
I can sit mostly when foods involved and have learnt to stay and wait when my dinner is served! I’m no trouble at all I just like a pat and to rest my head on you to know your there! I’m great with other dogs and cats! My foster family have 2 cats they live inside and we like to watch each other through the window and we lay in the lounge but they like to keep their distance, I used to live with cats and chickens and I’m great with children too.
Pocket pets are a no no for me as I get excited and think I can play with them which they don’t usually like!
Could you be my new humans and give me the love and affection I need with a furry friend to?
