Che Che is a quiet lady who would also like a quiet home where she can sit and watch you work or simply keep you company. We would love her to find a home that knows and understands the needs and traits of the Persian breed. Che Che is currently in Foster Care to give her a break from the shelter and she is thriving! If you would like to meet Che Che please give us a call on 8457 6500 to arrange a meet and greet, you wont be disappointed!
An update from her Foster Carer –
Che Che has been in foster care for 2 weeks now, and she is loving it!!!
We have found that she is not too fond of other cats, dogs and young children and is a bit set in her ways. But she absolutely loves to sleep on your bed! She is quite happy to just laze her days away in the sun on your bed, couch or window sill, and watch the world go by. When you go to sleep, she will be by your side, or on your chest, sometimes your head gets the tail end! She loves a scratch behind the ears, and under the chin, and will head butt you till she has had enough. She is very clean, and her fur is starting to grow back nice and thick.
Being part Persian, she does have the grumpy face and the cattitude to go with it. And she will let you know when she has had enough with a smack (no claws out) and maybe a leave me a alone hiss.If you are after a independent self sufficient cat, who would love you around to be her slave, and feed her (especially cooked chicken!!) then Che Che is your girl.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open between 10am-4pm Mon-Fri and 10am and 3pm Sat-Sun.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
