About Bear
Bear is a very, very special little cat. His story defies the odds- he is a little fighter and he has a heart of gold.
Like many kittens in Sydney, little Bear had a tough start to life. He was found on a building site by kind tradies who had been feeding and caring for his stray mother for many years. They had tried to trap and desex her on many occasions, but she proved too skillful for anyone to catch. They they were devastated to find she had been hit by a car outside the site. It had been a few days since, when a few of the workers heard tiny meowing coming from a stack of pallets in the warehouse. There was tiny little Bear, alone and crying with his eyes glued shut from conjunctivitis and his nose runny from cat flu.
The builders scooped him up and rushed him here to the clinic. We made a promise to Bear to get him better, and find him the best forever home we could. Rosie took him home and bottle fed him, treated his flu and sore eyes, and he has flourished into an incredible, healthy and vibrant young kitten.
Bear has been raised by Rosie with the help of her gorgeous adult cats, Rupert and Cleo. He has also very much enjoyed the company of Chester the golden retriever.
I really want to find Bear a wonderful special home. He loves other cats and adores dogs, but is also very independent and adores playing with toys for hours on end.
Medical notes
He will need to be an indoor only cat, or a cat with access to a shady outdoor enclosure. Bear has a very pale nose and is at high risk for skin cancer.

Adoption details
Please contact the clinic and ask to speak with Rosie, our receptionist and cat adoption officer.
All cats and kittens adopted out from Drummoyne Veterinary Hospital MUST go to either an indoor-only home, or a home with a suitable cat-proof outdoor area or enclosure. Our mission is to make Sydney a better place for cats, their families and our precious wildlife. That means responsible re-homing. We want our cats and kittens to go to the safest, most loving of homes. We don't want them exposed to risks such as getting hit by a car, dog attacks, cruelty from people, injury or death from cat fights or dog attacks, or contracting infectious disease. We want them to live a long, happy and healthy life with their families; safe from harm :)
