Coogee

Coogee has lived his life to date in a family situation with 3 children and another smaller dog. However Coogee has shown a keen interest in live stock and is now looking for a more suitable home (without livestock!). This has been a very difficult decision for his family who have loved and adored him and given him a fabulous start in life.

Coogee adores his little fur sibling but he would probably be fine as an only dog if you are home often. He adores kids and has been trained not to jump (but on the occasion he will try). He's quite big so ideally kids 10 and over. A couple or person with no kids would be super too. As long as he has his "person" he will be happy ! Coogee does live with 2 cats however they are kept separate. When he does come in contact one will run and he will chase and the other will stand up to him and he is not interested in that one.

Coogee is a keen watchdog and barks at things and will let you know if anything or anyone comes near. At the moment he can see through all his fences so he might not be as interested if he was in a colourbond yard.

He used to get car sick as a puppy however the Vet said he will likely grow out of it. He goes in farm vehicles often and is fine in them (more open than a car). He does chew stuff, but has been ok in the garden - just if children leave anything out it gets destroyed.

He would be best with someone assertive who's familiar with big dogs. He is a good boy who listens but he requires consistent rules to respect. He is good on the lead and loves walks, playing ball and going on the trampoline. Coogee is crate trained.
