About Lara
We are super excited to introduce our latest PPRA rescue from QLD, Lara a 3/4 Boston Terrier who is 9 months old 😀
Lara is a beautiful but very energetic girl who will suit an active family who can include her in their every day adventures 😎🎾
Lara is still very young and will require time and effort with her training and socialising. She is very willing to please people and loves company but can be a bit wary when first meeting other furry friends, and we think she would be best suited to a family with only one other desexed active dog.
Lara is good with school aged children who are careful not to scare her. She is learning to walk on a lead and has basic manners however would benefit greatly from some dedicated training 🐶👌🏻
Unfortunately, Lara has come to PPRA with a 'cherry eye' which is a prolapsed gland of the third eyelid. The preferred treatment used to be to remove the gland however as it produces 30% of tear production this method often led to dry eye. Our wonderful vets at Herriot House in Toowoomba are performing surgery to re-position the gland back into place and Lara is expected to make a quick full recovery from this surgery 👏😀👏
Because of Lara's sensitive eyes we would prefer no cats in her new home.
If you think your family could be the right fit for little Lara please apply on the link below.

***Please note, as we are run by a small but dedicated team of volunteers we are only able to respond to shortlisted applications. Also, Lara is NOT available for interstate adoption.
