DUSTY's foster carer describes him as "a gorgeous boy" and a "nice style of a dog". He has a friendly, placid temperament and responds well to basic commands. He gets on well with other dogs, but is untested with cats.
Red heelers are sturdy, low maintenance dogs that don't demand much in the way of cuddles and affection. But they do appreciate praise and good treatment and being part of a family. In exchange, they give utter loyalty and devotion. They are active, intelligent dogs with an independent, no-nonsense streak.
