HI! MY NAME IS NEWT! Aren't I handsome? The staff here think so! I am a lovely and LOUD boy who is looking for my very special new home! I am looking for a home that will let me settle in my own time, as I am likely to be very vocal while I gather my bearings, but will settle once I am comfortable! I love to converse! I don't understand humans, but the noises they make are so interesting that I just have to respond! I have been interested in the cats at the shelter, and am polite enough to leave them alone if they don't like me back. I would like to have a new friend but only if they will like me, and slow and proper introductions are made. I came in to the shelter with some signs of a rough life, so I would probably be best suited to an indoor only home unless you have a cat run or are willing to supervise me outside! I won't cope with young children, but sensible teenagers or kids over 10 years old should be just fine as long as they listen to me when I want to be alone (which is hardly ever!
