About Ruby (now Jazz)
Meet Ruby
Ruby is a clever girl that has learnt so much in foster care. She learned to use a dog door very quickly and goes outside for all her toileting needs. Ruby hadn't experienced much of anything beforehand so everything is new to her. She's adapting and learning very quickly but still needs further training to reinforce all the new skills she has acquired.
She needs patience and a slow introduction but rewards you with progress everyday. Ruby can sit with encouragement and understands staying on her bed at bedtime. She know her name and will come when called. She is doing well walking on a lead but sometimes gets a bit scared and unsure of new noises and new experiences, she didn't have much experience walking on lead before coming to her foster home.
She is a very sweet girl and loves pats and cuddles once she gets to know you. Although she is timid around people, she is confident with dogs and is learning manners and positive behaviour around other dogs. With time and patience this lovely clever girl will be a wonderful companion for both people and other pooches.
Ruby is looking for a home with children over the age of 10, wouldn't mind sharing her home with another friendly dog but would like a home without cats. She will need a family where someone is home more than the regular work hours.
Could Ruby come live with you?
**Application Process** When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Campbellfield. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you. www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ...because they all deserve one!
