About Alfie
Alfie’s story - Alfie was picked up by the council and he was in pretty bad shape, he was so matted that he couldn’t even go to the toilet properly. He had a lovely groom to make him feel better. Alfie was quite unsure of us humans to start with but he soon found out that we carried yummy food and that we were not going to hurt him. Unfortunately, Alfie is not suited to a home with children.
We have no idea how Alfie has lived his 8 years but we do know that he is not housed trained. Going into the house is something very new to him, so there will need to be a lot of training to assist him with this.
Medical notes
Alfie has some hip issues and this is a sensitive area for him and he will tell you off if he feels that you are going to try to pick him up, he will potentially need pain medication as he gets older. Due to Alfie’s needs we feel that he really needs someone who is very patient and willing to help him with toilet training. Please give our staff a call on 9722 1265 to have a discussion about Alfie and to arrange a time to come and meet him, due to Alfie still trying to learn to trust humans you may need to come and meet him a few times so that he can get to know you
