Siren

Did I just hear a bag rustle? Oooh I wonder what deliciousness awaits! A carrot? or some spinach leaves perhaps... Just thinking about food makes me squeal with delight! As my name suggests I'm quite a vocal little guy. I chat along when I have cuddles, squeak when I hear food and wail like a siren if I get a fright. There's never a dull moment with me around. Besides food I love my little cosy cabin. I venture out to gather food supplies and whisk them away to feast on in privacy. But I'm not shy for a guinea pig. I'm happy to have a cuddle with children on my cuddle mat and sometimes a little nap on their laps. I'm looking for a home to continue my comforts. I have my own indoor cage to keep me out of the Pilbara heat so you don't need to buy anything. So come and share that bag of goodies with me!

We guinea pigs love to bury outselves under leaves and vegetation. And we eat a variety of foods. Fresh greens every day are a must. We need to be fed twice a day and our diet also includes hay, pellets and washed fruit and veges. We're a little more heat tolerant than rabbits.

What else will I need to be happy? A gnawing block, a brush once or twice a week, fresh water in a metal spouted drip bottle and my own sleeping area - with a cover on top. Guinea pigs need their home cleaned every day and their bedding changed every week. We can live for up to ten years. And we make great pets for gentle children.
