About Chico
This big chunk of hunk is Chico, the American Bulldog. He loves nothing more than basking his golden fur in the sun, or being driven around, hanging his jowls out the window and soaking up life.
He is described as being a quirky guy, who sits like a human in the car, and loves being the centre of attention. He will do anything for treat, and is a big fan of fruit. He is also known for trying to talk to let you know when he wants something.
He is a very affectionate, loving dog once you have earned his trust. Chico can take some time to warm up to strangers, and for this reason would love a quiet home out of the suburbs where he can relax and enjoy some space.
Chico loves learning and has proved to be an adept student. He is food motivated and loves training sessions. He is toilet trained, and is a well mannered obdedient dog. His favourite game is tug-o-war and he will often try to speak or use his paw to give you driving instructions or let you know when he's ready to go to the toilet.
Chico is very much an indoor dog. Prior to rescue he lived an isolated life with very little socialisation, and while he has made significant strides he is needs to be the only animal in the house. He does not cope with the noise and unpredictable movements of small children but would be fine with respectful teenagers.
He is a handsome boy who is happy to wait while you work. His adoption fee includes desexing, microchipping, and vaccination. If you would like to meet him he is located in Belgrave with his foster family.
Medical notes
Chiko is on Lovan which helps him with anxiety in social situations.
