About Thor
This adorable young man is Thor.
Thor is a real character! He has so many facial expressions, it is hard not to fall in love with his cheeky personality.
Although he is quite shy at first, Thor can not resist a loving pat or massage for very long. Once he knows he is safe, he will keep coming back for more attention.
This very sweet young boy came to us recently with 5 of his siblings. They have all been raised well and loved in their previous homes but have not been exposed to new people or environments. Slow and relaxed introductions will be necessary for Thor to feel comfortable with new people and places. He will not adjust well to being pushed into things and creating a trust in his people will be extremely important for him to feel safe.
Thor is used to living with a large number of other small dogs. In his new home, he will need a confident, desexed female dog of similar breed and size who will be happy to share her home with him and offer his security and guidance in new surroundings. He will not be suitable as an only dog.
While he has been with us, Thor has shown to be timid but very happy and playful. He enjoys his games and running and playing with his siblings. These pups are calm and well behaved but have not been taught any commands. Some training will be great for them to learn boundaries and routine in their new homes.
Since coming into our care, Thor has been living mostly as an indoor dog. He seems to enjoy the secure of being indoors where he can be close to his people. He likes to be able to see where you are and always seems to keep an eye on what you are up to. We would ove to see him head to a new home where he will be mostly indoors and will be welcomed to sleep inside overnight with his new doggy pal
He has only recently been vaccinated so has not had the opportunity to go on any outings but is being introduced to new people to help him get used to different people.
Due to the fact that he is very small and quite nervous, Thor will be best matched to a home without young children. He will need a calm home to help him relax and settle in.
We are expecting a lot of interest in Thor and his siblings so please be patient while we read through all of their enquiries. Only homes that can meet the above criteria will be considered for Thor.
He and his siblings are all looking for separate new homes!
Currently in care in Ferntree Gully, Victoria
Medical notes
Thor has only recently been vaccinated. He will require a booster which will be given at our cost if he is taken to one of our partner vets which we will discuss with adopter at the time of adoption.
He is not ready to head to his new home until 8/12. This is not negotiable.
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
