Genghis

"GENGHIS" came to us quite a few years ago as a newly retired racing dog named "Duel Em Up" and here he is at almost 8 years old and still the handsome pinup boy that he was back then . Unfortunately, Genghis's adopted mum became very sick recently and had to be admitted to a nursing home unexpectedly , leaving Genghis and his little canine brother without their beloved mum. However, her family knew to contact us at ARCAT to help care for Genghis and find him the perfect home to settle down. That means we are looking for someone probably retired or at home a lot. Someone who will be happy to have him sleep in their bedroom in his own bed and also someone who will have a back garden for the occasional zoomie. Genghis has lived a sheltered life and being middle aged he doesn't need much exercise or seek adventure in the big wide world beyond the front gate. He is happy to mooch around all day and keep you company or just watch TV while you do the housework. Although he lived with a small fluffy friend before losing his family, Genghis isn't really that fond of other dogs unless he has selected them himself or if they are another greyhound. We really want to help Genghis heal his broken heart and move on with someone new. So .....if you know a more senior person who perhaps is looking for a gentle but largish couch potato, a dog who needs very little grooming and doesn't have a doggie odour, a gentle giant who just wants to be loved again, then please tell them about GENGHIS. They won't be disappointed when they meet this handsome fellow. All his vetwork has been done which includes desexing, microchip, vaccination, worm and flea treatment and he has tested free of heartworm. In foster care in Cairns.
