About TJ
TJ was born 17.07.18. She was recently adopted after the CRC adoption day at Cannon Park but unfortunately her family were refused permission by their Body Corporate and are heartbroken that they can't keep her. If anyone put in an application on that day, please message us again if you're still interested. TJ is a Kelpie Cross and for anyone who wants an active, highly intelligent and faithful dog, TJ makes an ideal pet but, before you decide to own a Kelpie you should consider whether you can give her the conditions that will in turn give you an outstanding dog. She needs to use her natural energies both mental and physical. She needs companionship. Although she is content to stay home for hours, she also needs to be with you for some time each day (ie inside with you) and she needs exercise, walks or games with a ball or a stick. It is no use expecting this dog, which has been bred to work, to stay outside the house without anything to do or to think about. She is lovely and fun but definitely energetic and still a puppy, so much patience and understanding is needed to help her learn boundaries but, as with most working dog breeds, the rewards will be well worth the effort. TJ is not a big barker and is wary of strangers and deep voices. She doesn’t even bark while playing but, if a stranger is there, she is timid and will bark in defence. Ideally we're looking for a family where someone might be home all day who wants to interact, play and train a highly intelligent, very energetic you pup. All her vetwork has been done which includes desexing, microchip, vaccination, worm and flea treatment. She is in foster care in Cairns.
