Heya! Pleased to meet you, my name is Leah.
Initially I found myself surrendered over to the Adoption Centre when my carers couldn't afford to treat my fractured leg.
Under the care of Lort Smith the vets tried all they could to save my leg but unfortunately I had to have it amputated in the end. This doesn't phase me in the slightest though, I get around very well with just three legs!
A few months back I was adopted by a family however was returned to Lort Smith a few days ago as they could not control my herding instincts. You see, I was trying to herd the young children in the home, I could not control this urge as I did not have any other outlet. For this reason it is best that I am not rehomed to a family with younger children.
My new family will need to take me to obedience training, continue my socialisation with other dogs and find a hobby for me,a herding school would be ideal, so I can fulfil my instinctual needs.
A family that has experience with high energy working dogs would be ideal for me.
My favourite pastimes are cuddles on the couch with my favourite humans and playing with toys.
I'm looking forward to getting out on many regular adventures and exploring the big wide world! I can be a bit over enthusiastic with cats, so it would be best if my new home didn't have any feline friends please. I do however love other dogs and get along well with them however I would need a friend that had the same energy and play style as me.
