About Maya
DEAR MAYA IS READY FOR A FOREVER HOME.
Rescue Adoption in the Illawarra.
Maya is around 18 weeks of age now. She is a Shar Pei cross (possibly Staffy) and just gorgeous.
Maya had a training lesson today and did so very well. The trainer said she is highly intelligent, a fast learner and will make someone a wonderful family pet.
Maya is doing so well with her carer and is ready for her new home.
Maya is learning to sit and does so most of the time. Still learning to walk on her harness lead but doing well. She sleeps in her crate of a night, a little crying before she falls to sleep and sleeps all night. Toilet trained with the very occassional accident inside.
Maya loves children, is very gentle with them.
Requirements for a new home are as such:
* She must be allowed to be an inside/outside dog for lots of snuggles (always inside safe of a night)
* She is very intelligent and needs someone who will either take her to puppy school or will continue themselves with her ongoing training. Doggy day care would be very beneficial for her.
* Someone home of a day would be preferable as she really has not had a great start to life and only been in a home environment for a short time.
* Someone that will take her for walks/adventures would be great.
* She will be fine with another dog (a meet/greet is necessary) but has not met many at this time.
* Ideal for a family as she just loves her humans. A family that will continue her socialisation skills also.
* She has the potential to be a medium to large size dog (we really do not know what size yet) so she must have good secure at least 6ft fencing. Please be aware she will be still growing, she will not be a small dog.
* May has to have a secure at least 6 foot foot fully fenced yard to play in.
* An understanding that this little girl has been through hell and might take some time to adjust to her new home. She is still a frightened baby but with love she will grow fast.
Her adoption fee is $450.00
She is microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, flee treated and desexed. If you feel you could offer our Indie a wonderful, safe, forever home please fill in and submit the following form below
Last photo is when Maya was first found, starving, full of worms, open wounds and very frightened. She has come a very long way and we are really proud of her.
Adoption details
We are a small ethical rescue who tries hard to rehome fur babies safely to loving forever homes
We do a Trial period is for 14 days to make sure the rescue pet suits the family's needs in a pet for them
We miss our rescues when they go on trial...so please send us a photo every second day at the least.
Any concerns/ issues within trial period - please let us know immediately so we can assist you with them.
And organise any treatment if it’s a medical issue or concern.
At the end of the trial period (or earlier if its love at first sight) please contact us to let us know your decision/ how you are feeling re: adopting.
All worming, flea, tick, vaccinations and any vet costs will not be covered by rescue after the trial period unless previously discussed and agreed upon by us (in special circumstances).
All Pups and dogs come with vaccinations covered by us until the end of trial period. They will be up to date with Flea, tick, heart worm/ all worm treatments when they commence the trial.
We arrange and pay for desexing of Pups when the Pup is old enough to have it done.
Adoption fee is required within one week of final decision being made. (See Deposit details in about section)
Once payment has been processed we will
request a photo of our lucky ex rescue/s in their forever home. Preferably with their new family.
This is so we can post our ex Rescue with their new family and share the excitement with our followers, sponsors, and of course us volunteers 😃🎉
We do understand there are circumstances where this is not preferred/ possible. If so, a nice photo of your new family member would be sufficient
We will then arrange to deliver any Veterinary information/ records & some paperwork for you to complete through your local council. This can be completed either online or in person.
For puppies we will send all ownership paperwork after the pup has been desexed
**Change of ownership and microchip is to be completed by the new owner within 2 weeks of receiving paperwork otherwise fines from the council may be incurred**
Once these steps have been finalised you will officially be Best Friends Forever 😃🐶🐱❤️ x
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
