Charley

Charley is a great dog whose owners have reluctantly relinquished due to health and financial issues. She has a lovely temperament. and is still just a typical puppy, full of playful energy.

Charley is dog, cat and kid friendly. Although she gets excited with new people and does jump, she very quickly learned to be gentle with the toddler in her foster home. She is also VERY gentle when being hand fed. She can sit on command and at dinner. She knows where her bed is to lay. She's happy to be outside on her own when her carer's older dogs need a rest, but isn't ever really alone in this household. She is mostly toilet trained, but still slips up and pees inside occasionally (overnight only). She’s very active so drinks a lot of water and needs frequent toileting. Her carer says she's quite affectionate, loves to cuddle, and will be an amazing addition to any household.

As with any young dog, Charley would benefit from ongoing training and positive reinforcement. Older doggy role models (which she has with her carer now) will teach her better doggy manners.
