About Maggie (AV1054)
Hi there, I'm Maggie! I'm very pleased to meet you!
I'm a very friendly, happy go lucky gal who enjoys meeting new people and making new friends - are you just waiting to be my new BFF?? (That's Best Friend Forever, in case you didn't know).
I have lived as part of a family before and I generally get on pretty well with everybody. I am usually friendly with other dogs and enjoy having a playmate around so if you already have a pooch I would love to meet them and make sure we can be pals (I reckon a male dog would be the way to go for me!) Guess what? I've also lived with CATS before so if you introduce us sensibly I'm pretty sure I'll be fine to live with your feline friends too.
I have also lived with kids, so that's a bonus! It's important for the grown ups in the home to remember that even very friendly dogs should be monitored when around kids just to make sure we are all getting along nicely. But I've always been great with kids in the past so I should be in the future too.
I've had a bit of basic training and I'm pretty good in the house - I'm toilet trained and not too hyperactive when you bring me inside!I know how to walk on a lead and I'm not particularly destructive or noisy at home.
Like I said at the start, I'm kind-of a total all-rounder! I'll really do well in most homes as long as you have time to make me a real part of the family - I'd like to be inside with you at least some of them time and I love walks and trips to the park and so on.
There is one thing to know about me, which is that I'm not suited to living with or near any livestock. I'm not really sure what those big, woolly looking dogs are about but I know they aren't really dogs and I also know they're really fun to chase!! I got myself in a bit of trouble with the law enforcement (rangers) for doing that and then I even ended up in prison (the pound).
So I'm best suited to living in a suburban area where there are no woolly dogs to chase and where the fences are good and secure.
If you're looking for a terrific companion, please look no further as I'm the girl for you :)
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
