Hello Friends! My name is Mila, I am a 3 year old female Kelpie X Border Collie.
I am a very lovable and caring dog towards humans and have already been very well trained. I was previously owned by a man who had depression and anxiety, I was the perfect companion for him and when he was no longer able to afford to look after me he took me to the pound and came to visit me every day before I was rescued by my foster mum. If you have depression or anxiety I promise to love you and tell you how perfect you truly are! I have been taught to sit, lay and stay on command and if you have a treat I might even do more! Oh I am also toilet trained so yay you can let me sleep inside!
Oh did I mention I am a champion at fetch!? Ball is life, nothing can distract me once you pick that baby up. I learn very easily and all I ask for in return is your love, please let me sit on your lap, I love pats and cuddles and to be around you all the time.
While I am dog friendly, I would much prefer to be the only dog in the home. Other dogs do make me a little anxious while out on walks.
Medical notes
Mila has had the following vetwork completed:
~ Desexed

~ Microchipped

Adoption details
~ ADOPTION PROCESS ~
STEP 1: An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT DO INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS ** We require all animals to have a meet & greet with their new family before they are officially adopted, no exceptions. If you are willing and able to meet the dog in person, we are happy to accomodate the adoption.
STEP 2: If successful, our foster carer will be in touch within 24-48 hours.
STEP 3: A 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
STEP 4: The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 4 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
STEP 5: A 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from the foster carer.
STEP 6: The Adoption is the finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email after this period. Please note this can take up to 4 weeks pending on the microchip paperwork.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT HOLD ANY ANIMALS SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT NOW. **
