About Wombat
Wombat is a handsome boy looking for a place to call home. He is great with other dogs and would suit a home with another dog to play with. He gets anxious if left alone, but he seems to be mostly ok with other dogs there. He is very willing to copy another dog and looks to his foster siblings constantly for clues on how to behave. He loves water and his toys, and he is just starting to play tug. Wombat is quite gentle and respectful. . He hasn't stolen shoes or cushions or anything that doesn't belong to him. He tries really really hard to be good and doesn't often need to be told twice. He is still a bit frightened of strangers especially if they want to interact with him, but I have seen no aggression. He will bark at strangers or perceived intruders. He will make an awesome dog for someone who is prepared to give him gentle but consistent guidance.

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1. You see a dog you like.
2. Fill in our online adoption form by clicking here or on our website. Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form. This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.

3. If your are successful, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a meet and greet at your home and conduct a yard check at the same time.
4. Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. Adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
During the 2 week trial period, should you decide that this dog is not for you, you are welcome to return the dog (the more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available) and your payment will be retunded to you in full, within 3 business days of the return of the dog.

We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
