Lewis wears his heart on his sleeve - his life ambition is to love and please his fur-ever family. When you are at home, he will always be by your side. When you are not at home, he will wait faithfully for your return without a peep. In return for his dedication, all he wants is your company and a gentle caress under his ears.
Lewis is very gentle and quite a gentleman. Although Lewis would love to cuddle up on the lounge with you, he is content to curl up at your feet while you watch TV or read a book. On the other side of the coin, Lewis can be an absolute clown - he often reduces his foster carer to fits of laughter.
Lewis is true to his breed - he is intelligent and learns quickly. He sits and waits for his dinner and he understands that his Foster Mum must be the first to go through any door or gate. With his need to please he has quickly adapted to household rules - kitchen bench etiquette, kitchen no-go-zone & giving personal space during meal times.
At Obedience School he ignores the other dogs and gets on with the fun task of learning. Lewis has come from a large family of mixed breeds. He is timid outside the family home and yard, so to enable him to overcome his fears and reach his full potential he needs patience and training.
