About Jimmy
Jimmy is a golden scruffy boy, and just so sweet and lovable. He is simply a dead set rock star! Jimmy is extremely popular with all of the dogs, and loves to play chasey, and play wrestling games. He is a sensitive guy, who needs a very safe, secure and loving home, lots of cuddles and sensitive humans who can calmly reassure him and love him up. In return he will reward his family with great charm and devotion. Jimmy walks well on the lead and is also great off lead on his bush walks. He likes to sleep on the bed, and is so sweet the way he comes and asks to get up, then springs lightly up onto the bed and settles in for a snuggle. His bearded face is so gorgeous he also gets lots of kisses too. He is happy to have quiet time at home while his human is out, and is very trustworthy inside -extremely well housetrained and not at all destructive. If left inside he will usually retire to the bedroom and stretch out on the biggest bed he can find for a nice nap!
Jimmy was born under an upturned care in Village Camp in Tennant Creek, and we have cared for his extended family. His mum Littlebit is the daughter of well known Tennant Creek doggy identity Chardonnay who was a prolific sire of scruffers in Tennant Creek until he was apprehended and de-sexed by the local Council around the time Jim was born. Chardonnay and his girlfriend The Duchess are visited and fed twice each day in their Camp by one of our Tennant Creek supporters, and the local vet donates their vet care. Littlebit is now living in Strathalbyn, and Jim's brothers and sisters are all happily settled in homes around Adelaide. Jim himself was rehomed as a 10 week old puppy, and was very loved, but his foster brother was a cranky Pomeranian who was quite aggressive to Jim. His family surrendered Jim back to us at about a year old. Jim was quite anxious initially when he came back to our care, but he has really blossomed as part of a group. Over time he has relaxed and shown us his beautiful personality and he is just so loved. It will be hard to part with this unique and special boy, but very rewarding to see him finally in the best setting for him.
Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Jimmy's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide. Jimmy is currently in foster care in Elliott NT.
