HI!!! My name is Mase!!!
I’m a 3 year old Labrador/kelpie mix. I’m about 30 kgs – so I might some other sort of doggo mixed in there too.
Don’t let my big size put you off though – I LOVE people! LOVE THEM! I like to follow my foster humans around the house, where ever they might go. And when they sit down….wowee…I love to try and get on their lap….even though I’m a big boy.
I’m desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.
My best house would be if my humans walk me regularly (or even take me for a run!). I’m super smart so agility training might even be good for me to get me to work my brain and my body. I learn new things really quickly, but sometimes I pretend that I don’t hear the humans asking me to sit to cross to road – there are so many smells on other side that I want to get to.
I know how to sit and to drop and I am working on waiting for my dinner and waiting before I go out the front door for a walk (that last one is so hard for me!). I pull a little bit on the lead, but I have a halti on now and that has made it easy for the lady human to walk me and my bull arab friend together on her own.
I’m good friends with my foster sibling, a submissive bull arab female, and I have had a visit from a small fluffy and we were ok together – but I think I prefer the big dogs. I get along well with kids too, but I might knock over really little ones. I haven’t met any cats yet.
I like to yodel a bit at my people when it is breakfast time – you know – just in case they forget to feed me! And I will tell you if there is someone at the door with a big bark – but I’ll be quiet once you tell me to.
I’d like a big dog friend to play with – but I think I’d be ok on my own too – as long as I get lots of exercise and some games to keep my mind occupied while you’re out of the house. Better still if someone is home during the day, either working from home or a stay at home parent – I’d love that! I’d just sleep at your feet or follow you around when you do chores.
My foster family say I am a beautiful smoochy dog, and that anyone would be lucky to have me. If you put a tiny bit of effort into my training, give me a soft place to sleep and regular pats, I’ll obediently deliver kisses and cuddles for the rest of my days.
