About Nobby
I HAVE A MEET AND GREET HAPPENING SOON SO I MIGHT BE ADOPTED.
Hi my name is Nobby, I am a smooth haired Chihuahua, I am a bigger Chihuahua being about 5kgs, I used to have a wonderful home with a lady that loved me very much for many years and with a cat I also loved, but my Mum couldn't have me anymore, not her fault and Chihuahua Rescue took me in.
I love playing with toys, love them and I also enjoy going for walks and to the beach, I do like chasing birds on the beach though so probably not a good idea to have a pet bird in the house. I get along with other small dogs, but to be honest would be more than happy being an only dog if my owner was home a lot, I would really prefer a home where my family will include me in everything, I love going for rides in the car. Something I do not want in my forever home is children, if children visit your home its best if I am put away from them, I find them a bit much for me and Chihuahua Rescue will not rehome me into a home with children, so please do not apply if you have them.
I am a funny, cheeky,, sometimes noisy boy, I will let you know if anyone is about. I am shy at first but once I am your friend I will be your friend forever, if you work from home I would love to be your companion or a homebody. I am clean in the house also as long as I have regular outside access, oh one other thing, I love to sleep on your bed, my past home let me and it would be amazing if I could keep doing that in my forever home, thanks for reading, read my medical notes and if that all sounds fine with you, please apply for me.
Medical notes
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs have been fully health checked by our vets. We offer a free post-adoption health check with Greencross Vets at Chermside, Jindalee, Browns Plains or Indooroopilly hospitals. This gives you the opportunity to talk directly to the vet about any questions you may have. We provide all veterinary records for each dog, including copies of blood tests, any relevant X-rays and medical notes.
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs are desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. We test all our dogs for heartworm and treat them with regular parasite prevention.
Nobby's blood test results when coming into care showed slightly elevated liver enzymes which are often symptomatic with Cushings Syndrome. Nobby is showing no symptomatic signs of Cushings and our Vets do not recommend any medication.
Nobby has a low grade heart murmur that does not currently require medication. Yearly checkups will be needed to monitor this.
