What you will get with Mickeya is the most loving, sweetest gentle girl. Mickeya will shower you with kisses and be your loyal companion.
Mickeya is still young with plenty of love to give. Mickeya is a timid girl by nature, and is looking for a home that will have patience with her whilst she settles in. A home that will give her guidance and structure and allow her to grow & develop. Mickeya will not do well in home with a heavy hand and no tolerance. She will get scared at loud noises/bangs, raised hands and shouting. She is not one to learn from being shouted at.
What Mickeya wants you to know about her:
I have plenty of love to give and want a home to call my own. You will need to remember each home has their own rules and I will need time to learn.
I would love nothing more than to cuddle with you and be close by.
At the start there will be no personal space - sorry for that, but over time and reassurance I will give you some breathing space.
I come completely toilet trained, I don’t chew furniture, or shoes (maybe a teddy), don't pull clothes off lines. I don’t jump fences, but may sit on your outside furniture. I only dig to bury a bone or a biscuit, but you need not worry as I will find it later and dig it up for you.
I know toilet at night, but I might be scared so you will have to come out with me to start with.
My foster mum has left me inside at night if she goes out and I don’t destroy anything.
I am not a boisterous dog, I don’t run around crazy. I will meet you at the door with a little dance and then sit and wait for a pat.
I greet people with great manners, sitting and don’t jump up. I have learnt to sit for my food, and am working on waiting (but that’s hard). Please don’t leave any food around, as I will think it’s mine - sorry.
I love my walks, currently go twice a day. I am very very good on a lead (I don’t run at this stage) and have been working on my manners when meeting dogs out. I will be unsure of unfamiliar territory and will just need your reassurance that all is good. I still need to work on dogs off lead, running at me and barking, but with your guidance I will become better.
I am now used to be outside during the day, but by nature would prefer company. If you're home, I just want to be with you. I am not a dog to be kept outside all the time.
I won’t drool on your leg when you are eating, just tell me no, turn away and to go to my bed and I'm gone.
I am best suited to being the only dog, and if you have children I'd prefer them to be 10+. No cats thanks.
Located Vermont South.
